Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 concerns the disclosure of the use of 3TG conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its adjoining countries. In 2012, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission published its final rules implementing the disclosure requirements for the sourcing of conflict minerals by U.S. publicly traded companies.
As a manufacturer of fine jewelry, Imagine Designs uses gold as an essential element in our products. We are committed to the responsible sourcing of 3TG minerals throughout our supply chain and to compliance with the conflict minerals regulations. We have established due diligence processes with our global suppliers in order to identify the smelters used in our production process. We require our suppliers to source their gold ethically and provide supporting documents verifying that none of the gold they supply to us originates in the DRC or its adjoining countries. Any high-risk area listed in the law or guidance is not involved in the supply chain.
